Indians Can Now Transit Through German Airports Without an Airport Transit Visa

Posted On Wednesday, June 3, 2026

Indian citizens will no longer be required to obtain an airport transit visa when transiting through German airports en route to a third country. This new regulation will come into effect from 3 June 2026.

This decision is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Germany and India while making international travel more convenient for Indian nationals.
