Important Update Regarding Canada Passport Submission and Collection

Effective 9th October 2023, passport submission & passport collection for Canada VACs in India will be limited to the below individuals,

Passport submission

  • Applicants submitting the passport/document themselves.
  • Parents submitting on behalf of minors.
  • Families or groups traveling together can appoint 1 family/group member to submit all passports/documents on their behalf of the family or group.  (Applicant or accompanying family member who has a passport request letter will be permitted to submit the passports/documents at the VACs.)

Passport Collection

  • Applicants collecting the passport/document themselves.
  • Parents collecting on behalf of minors.
  • Families or groups traveling together can appoint 1 family/group member to collect all passports/documents on their behalf of the family or group.  (Applicant or accompanying family member whose name is mentioned on VAC services receipt will be permitted to submit the passports/documents at the VACs.)

Additional Services

  • Applicants can continue to use the courier services for the return of their passports once submitted at the VAC as per above process.
Alternatively, if applicants who do not wish to submit their passports at the VAC, can avail two-way courier service.
